Gnotec Group extends holiday in Kunshan due to the Coronavirus outbreak

We are extending our holiday shutdown at our China Factory in Kunshan as the nation battles the new deadly  coronavirus.

The plant is postponed to reopen the 10th of February and to protect our people, they will be in quarantine for 14 days before they are allowed to return to work.

Our decision to delay the restart came after the Chinese government called on businesses in Shanghai and elsewhere, to extend their holidays in response to the virus outbreak.

Jörgen Oldenstedt, President and CEO for Gnotec Group comments:

“I am grateful that we have no indications for any infection of our employees and we will take all necessary actions to prevent the outbreak and protect our people.”

We also expect that the outbreak will affect deliveries in both Gnotec China and Gnotec Sweden.
