Sale of Frauenthal Powertrain through a management buy-out
The Frauenthal Group has sold Frauenthal Powertrain – a business unit of the Frauenthal Automotive Division – through a management buy-out. The related contract was signed today. Frauenthal Powertrain produces forged connecting rods and balancing shafts in Plettenberg, Germany, and contributed MEUR 86.4 to Group revenue in 2021.

Frauenthal Gnotec Slovakia expands capacity
Frauenthal Gnotec Group, the developer and producer of premium products to the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, has last week inaugurated the extended plant in Cadca, Slovakia.
The extended plant has also besides many other improvements, installed a new 800 ton press to meet the increased demands.

Gnotec Group restarts the China plant in Kunshan
Gnotec restarts the plant in Kunshan after several weeks of closure due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
First, we are pleased to announce that none of our Gnotec people have been infected of the Coronavirus.
We started our production last week with a few people and the welding cells to secure deliveries to Volvo Cars Europe. Next week we will get more people to work and start stamping to prepare for the startup of the Volvo Cars plants in China.
China is slowly moving in the right direction to get up and running. There are still a lot of risks and we expect further delays in some regions.
We are following the directions from the Chinese government, supporting our employees and preparing for our customers as best we can.

Gnotec Group extends holiday in Kunshan due to the Coronavirus outbreak
We are extending our holiday shutdown at our factory in Kunshan, China, as the nation battles a deadly new corona virus.
The plant is postponed to reopen the 10th February and to protect our workers, when coming back, they will be in quarantine for 14 days before they are allowed to return to work.
